Chartering and ship broking
When a cargo is too large for containers, or regular enough to need its own arrangement, it needs a vessel. We find suitable tonnage, negotiate the terms and see the fixture through to discharge.

Voyage charter
A vessel for one voyage, from a load port to a discharge port, with freight paid per tonne or as a lump sum.
When to use it
A single shipment of bulk or general cargo large enough to justify a whole vessel, such as grain, minerals and ores, fertiliser, steel or project cargo.
What we handle
- Finding suitable vessels for the cargo and ports
- Negotiating freight, laytime and demurrage terms
- Drafting and checking the charter party
- Coordinating the vessel's nomination, loading and discharge
- Laytime and demurrage statements after the voyage
What to send us for a quote
- Cargo type and quantity (with any allowed variation)
- Load and discharge ports

- Loading and discharge rates if known
- Any terms your sale contract requires
Time charter
A vessel hired for a period of time, with hire paid by the day and the charterer directing its employment.

Contract of affreightment (COA)
An agreement to carry a set quantity of cargo over a period in several shipments, without naming each vessel in advance.

Steady volumes of the same cargo on the same or similar routes, such as a year's supply contract.
